Jeanette, “Taka,” (she/her) is a Japanese-Filipino animator and filmmaker based in Oakland, Ohlone land, and Los Angeles, Tongva land.

Bearing stylistic influence from ukiyo-e, her work divulges in bold black linework and spirited character ensembles. Holistically, her engagement with community organizing has shaped a gentle yet firm hand– at once playful and resolute.

She received her BFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts.
